Energy Revolution in the Philippines!

This week President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo signed the Renewable Energy Law which is intended to accelerate the development and utilization of renewable energy sources in the country.

Thanks to you and thousands of Greenpeace supporters who supported our campaign, the Philippines is now on track towards achieving an ‘Energy Revolution’ which can end our dependence on fossil fuels and move the country into a low carbon emissions economy which is a key solution to the problem of dangerous climate change.

More renewable energy means less greenhouse gas emissions, which means less floods, droughts and extreme weather events that have been causing havoc across the planet.

Clearly a lot more needs to be done and every peso you donate will make a difference.

Greenpeace remains committed to turning back the dangerous tide of dirty coal and dangerous nuclear energy. With your support, we've gotten this far - with your continued support we can do a lot more.

something positive

Running really is a metaphor for life,There is always another mile. You just have to take it one step at a time." - anne mahlum, cnnheroes awardee

got home a lil early today, work is just fine, didn't received a lot of calls and complaints for today. we have an early out because of thanksgiving, thanks for the holidays.

well, lets start this one out. i turned the tv on, browse some channel and i got stuck on CNNHeroes, watched their stories, and tears melted in my eyes. sound cheesy but its true. im thinking if i can do something good and reached out for those who are in need. there stories touched my heart. from a nanny who gives her salary back to her native land to build a school for children and help eliminate literacy to a veteran marathoner who used to run by homeless men as part of her foundation "back on on my feet" to help people learn important life skills such as discipline and goal-setting and help them get on the road to self-sufficiency. its really inspiring.

also it made me realized that i did something good today. yes! me. i joined greenpeace. everyone knows what greenpeace so im not going to explain what they do or what type of org they are. with my little donation i hope it will help the organization moving and i, myself will start something to get active for nature.

lets try to do something for the environment, no need to go to the streets. lets start it within ourselves.

and to all the heroes of the world hands down to you. i have nothing more to say.

peace.

globelines. your sh*ting me, right!?

my internet connection has been failing for the past several days now. ive done some basic and advanced troubleshooting steps and its still the same thing. so i end up calling technical support to complain about this issue. i hate calling tech guys because i think its just plain useless. like when i mention that i already turned off my modem, access the gui and run some diagnostics, i also did the release and renew of my ip address, i even optimized the browser and cleaned my firefox. i also flushed the dns, check TCP/IP settings and tuned off my firewall and security software, duh? and this guy told to do the same thing. i keep repeating, "man i've done this already?"

whats funny is i asked him to interpret to me the result of my diagnostics on the modem, and he cant even answer my question. he just replied that "sir, there is something wrong with the connection". Of course something is wrong! i cant connect to your Internet! the result of the test failed. what are you!? one more thing, i ask again this tech guy, i think his name was "LITO" whatever, something like that. I ask him what with this "testing ATM OAM segment ping" means? then he told me to click on admin, then diagnostic, then submit. then what the!? im on that page already. i didn't ask him to walk me through that page. then he decided that he'll just send a field technician. he said that someone will come to check my connection within the nest 24 to 48 hrs. no field tech came. which sucks big time.

i still have the same problem right now. im typing my frustration to my ISP on my notepad which is so classic. haha! no fancy thing just letters numbers and plain white background.

i know this industry, ive been working as a same tech guy for some american internet service provider for almost 1 and a half year, and you'll be lucky if you have someone on the other line who exactly knows what he is doing. most of the customers will get an idiot who doesnt really know what theyre doing. like what happen to me, or a lazy tech guy who will do some bs'ng and refer you to some dept that has nothing to do with the issue. this are some run-around i do sometime when i feel so tired and exhausted. well that s life.

im a lil hungry, i dont know if there is some left over on the kitchen that i can put on the microwave. because im too lazy to prepare my own food.

so maybe thats it for me now. ill have my dinner first, cos kind of late now.

calvary song

Add Image
its been a pretty boring day, im just home, eat lunch, have some coffee in front of my monitor. listening to "calvary song" by elliot from there 2000 release "false cathedrals". it brought some nostalgic feelings in me.

"False Cathedrals is Elliott's most popular release. According to Revelation Records, it is amongst the highest selling albums in the label's back-catalogue." - from wikepedia

i first listen to this band way back 2002, when a friend of mine gave me their cd. i started playing their cd and liked their music instantly. with big guitar sound heart pounding drums of "calm americans", it was a blast. i can say that this record is a must keep.
